Welcome to the Times Online Power 100 webseminar

The Power 100 is The Times’ list of most influential directors serving on boards of publicly listed companies. These are individuals who wield great power and rank among the most important people running business in Britain.

But what does it take to get into the Power 100?

Join Times Online at 11am on February 28 for a one-off round-table discussion hosted in real time by Robert Cole, Deputy Business Editor of The Times. Robert will be joined by Carol Leonard, Chairman of Whitehead Mann’s Board Services Practice which specialises in the recruitment of Chief Executives, Chairmen, Non-Executive Directors and Finance Directors and Tom Attwood, Managing Director of Intermediate Capital Group, a leading independent provider of mezzanine finance in Europe and Asia.

Questions addressed will include:

  • What makes a great leader?
  • Is it what you know or who you know that really counts?
  • Does the old boy network really exist?
  • Should ambitious would-be leaders seek experience at a wide selection of different companies?
  • Who are directors accountable to?
